Job Description
Responsible for:
- Planning, organization, and implementation of the Summer Camp menu.
(2-3 snacks/day and 3 meals/day)
- Adhering to food safe procedures.
- Provide family style meals on time with Summer Camp schedule.
- Knowledge and ability to work with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, lactose, celiac, halal, etc)
- Keeping up with inventory, meal plans and shopping for food/supplies.
- Ensuring work space is clean and organized.
Additional Duties:
- Working with Program Director to work themes into meals, where possible.
- Work with Program Director to plan menu for overnights.
- Working with and leading volunteers assigned to the kitchen.
- Keep communication lines open with Camp Director/Program Director.
- Adhering to Covid protocols.
- Any additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 year of age or older
- Management experience
- Experience cooking for up to 50 people.
- Experience working with children in a camp setting preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated.
- Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector search) and clear Child Intervention Check.
- Must have or be willing to get First Aid certification and Food Safe Certification.
Additional skills: Must be outgoing, enthusiastic, hardworking and inclusive.
