Description of Training Event:
Standard 9.3.7 requires flat-water canoe leaders to hold an instructor-level certification in flat-water canoeing. This Waterfront Instructor course meets the requirements for the standard, in addition to providing participants with at least Intro-level Skills. This helps you ensure your instructors are qualified and confident on the water! We also hope to provide some training in outdoor ethics from Leave No Trace Canada.
This course is offered in partnership with Paddle Alberta, who are funding the instructors.
Total Fee – $180+gst, includes accommodation and equipment
PLUS registrants will pay to Paddle Canada an additional $35 (under 25) or $60 (over 25) for certification and membership
Canada Alberta Job Grant – This course is eligible for the Canada Alberta Job Grant (covers 66-100% of training costs).
